On Wednesday, April 17, Karla Ward was recognized by the Arts Council Northeast as a “Shining Star.” We’ve all known Karla as a “Shining Star” for Mid-Cities Care Corps’ mission for many years now. She has served as a transportation driver, helped with the monthly social events and established and leads the “Ladies Gone Mowing” team. Additionally, Karla has been most helpful in supporting our fundraising efforts, participating in both our annual “Friends” and “Festival of Friends” events.
