Phone Friends Program Combats Isolation

Isolation is a valid concern amongst the senior citizen market. There are many ways to help our senior neighbors combat the feeling of isolation, especially during the holiday season when life gets too busy.  Social outreach is a rewarding  means of giving back, whether it is of your time, resources or money.   The Phone Friends program that Mid-Cities Care Corps has in place is one of several social outreach programs offered and implemented by the many volunteers that make up the organization.  The program connects seniors with a friend who is committed to call each week.  Smiles are created and friendships are built.  We will continue this series on isolation with other programs offered by Mid-Cities Care Corps.  In the meantime, please connect with us if you are interested in volunteering, donating or even becoming a client.  If you are not already on our mailing list, go to our contact page and sign up.  We would love to hear from you.
