Meet MCCC Board Member Dave Jung

Mid-Cities Care Corps is pleased to introduce David Jung as the newest member of our Board of Directors. Dave is pastor of Crown of Life Lutheran Church in Colleyville, which was recognized with our 2012 Emerald Award for its commitment to serving seniors in this area.

Dave and his church family are making an impact in Northeast Tarrant County. Each March, the church takes on service projects for 12 area non-profit agencies in their “Showing Jesus’ Love” outreach. Another church ministry reaches out to widows and seniors every month to assist with regular home maintenance and repairs. Dave believes in leading by example, so he and his staff take on a couple of service projects of their own each year. In May, the staff blessed a MCCC client in Haltom City, scraping the exterior of her home and giving it a fresh coat of paint.

Serving seniors appeals to Dave on a very personal level as well. His church service has always carried him a great distance away from his own parents and grandparents. Not living close by to help them more often in their senior years has left an empty feeling inside. He finds fulfillment in serving other senior residents through the outreach of his church.

A native of Milwaukee, Dave and his wife, Ann, live in North Richland Hills. He is a graduate of Concordia University Chicago and received a Master of    Divinity Degree from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Ind.

He has served as pastor at Crown of Life Lutheran for the past 21 years and previously served churches in Tyler, Texas, and Bartow, Fla. He is active in the Colleyville Chamber of Commerce and has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors. He is currently on the Board of Directors for the Colleyville Executive Organization.

Dave is serving on our 2020 Strategic Planning Team and believes MCCC offers volunteers this unique experience:

Bringing fulfillment and meaning to volunteers through caring for seniors.

Thank you, Dave, for your willingness to serve Mid-Cities Care Corps in this additional capacity.
