Mid-Cities Care Corps – Helping Hands Project Leaders 3rd Thursday Service Day
This team of MCCC volunteers are instrumental in coordinating the efforts of 350 one-day volunteers in 2011 on group work days. These are church, youth, civic, and business that volunteer as a group to tend to the needs around the residences of MCCC clients. The MCCC Helping Hands Project Leader team conducts on-sites to determine the extend, identify necessary materials, and volunteer as necessary to represent MCCC on the group work day.
The dedication and caring hearts of this MCCC volutneer team has been instrumental in the expansion of the MCCC Helping Hands Program outreach, with in 2011 completed 150 service orders for MCCC seniors. In addition, this team lends their expertice and energy to requests client’s with urgency and more involved throughout the year. And as illustrated the 3rd Thrusday of each month these volunteers team up to tackle client needs topping off the team effort with laughter, jibs, and results that affectionally are bonding opportuntities for the cause and mission of MCCC to “preserve the independence of senior neighbors in N.E. Tarrant County”.
